A quick shout-out for our very best mates Helen Stephens and Gerry Turley. We found Helen and Gerry and their daughter Frieda in the cottage opposite us when we moved into our house here in Berwick upon Tweed on the Borders of Scotland. Helen was already an established children’s book author/illustrator and Gerry was an illustrator/printer who also had a few books under his belt. It was a serendipitous moment, and since then we have been a constant in each others lives.
Helen dedicated her first “How To Hide A Lion” book to our family way back in 2012 (that book has spawned a series of “How To Hide A Lion…” books, some being read on Children’s BBC, some made into live plays), and our houses, street, and kids featured in the book.
Like us they have an online shop selling all manner of goodies, and they have just launch a pre-Christmas SALE, as they are clearing their stock for new ventures. So if you have kids (or are a bit of a kid), or like whales (or are part whale), head on over to the TURLEY & STEPHENS SHOP and fill your stockings. And while you’re about it, check out HELEN’S NEWSLETTER here on Substack.
Meanwhile, we don’t have a sale on, but we are still selling much TANK GIRL SHITE from our CRAZY STORE.

It’s awesome to see the love, thanks for sharing! Helen, your work is amazing
