Hi lovely people, we’ve been away, we’ve come back, and here we are. It looks like lots more subscribers have joined whilst we’ve been absent, so, just in case you don’t know, I’ll re-introduce us and recap on what the hell is going on here -
My name is Alan, I’m the writer and co-creator of the comic strip Tank Girl. I also co-run THE OFFICIAL TANK GIRL SHOP online with my wife Lou (who handles all of your orders and queries). The arty-crafty amongst you might also be interested to know that Lou has her own online shop DARK AGE, where you can purchase prints and original art, and commission custom quilts and knitwear.
For those of you wanting to know the status of the rumoured “new” Tank Girl movie (and this is only from my inner circle of smarts, as MGM tell us nothing about what is going on) the last report was that it was in the hands of Amazon’s animation department, to be developed as a Prime series, and the notion of a live action movie has been scrapped. That’s all I got.
Meanwhile, in the Tank Girl Store, the afore-mentioned water pistol is a bonus item in our new Livin’ Large poster print set, which includes this never-before-released-as-a-poster image by Jamie Hewlett from way back in 1988, which was only seen in i-D Magazine…
…and fresh in today is the first of our Special Request packs - TANK GIRL - LOCK UP YOUR BICYCLES POSTER MAGAZINE. This was a request from a reader who particularly liked the image when it was on a t-shirt, and wanted to see it as a poster. We have produced just 50 copies of this particular item, so don’t hang about if you fancy one. If you have any other wishes for what you’d like to see on a poster, print, postcard, badge etc., let us know in the comments section, we’ll add it to our list and it might end up as a low print run exclusive in the store.
