Our new poster magazine is in - a very limited print run of 50, and another special request from one of our readers. The “I’d Love To F*ck You Up” Poster Magazine Special reprints a classic T.G. story from way back in 1990, when we were all still living in Worthing, and hanging around on the beach all summer.
One of our favourite Worthing seaside emporiums was Nina’s Gift Shop - an Aladdin’s cave of sticks of rock, ice creams, buckets and spades, frogs made out of sea shells and googly eyes, saucy postcards, and a random selection of bizarre left-over stock from the Sixties and Seventies. It really was a very splendid, dream-like place. Positioned right in the centre of the seafront, right on the promenade, within spitting distance of the sea, an almost unnoticed treasure. We thought it was wonderful, and we probably freaked the staff out by frequenting the establishment way more than any holiday makers or other townsfolk.
Nina’s got a bit of subliminal advertising in our Tank Girl strip of February 1990, as originally printed in Deadline Magazine. Another obscure Worthing reference to add to our long list. The shop closed down years ago, and stood empty for a long time; the building is now part of a hip crab and seafood restaurant. But fond memories remain, so I thought I’d give a little tribute to Nina’s Gift Shop in our latest poster mag. Along with the afore-mentioned comic strip and fold-out poster, the pack will come with an (unofficial) Nina’s badge.
A piece imaginary memorabilia, a replica of an artefact that never existed. You know me, I love that kind of shit.
As always, you can only get the new poster magazine directly from us at THE OFFICIAL TANK GIRL STORE.
See you down the Prom, bring a couple of bob for the pier.

I adore you so very much Alan and everything you do and write as well. You and my beloved Tank Girl are two of the only experiences that get me through the shit storm that is this country. And yes, your newsletter is lovely. My "water balloon" poster, which I scored from you a few weeks ago is right over my desk. Thanks for all of it. LOVE ALWAYS and remember: WE'VE GOT WORK TO DO. LL
