TANK GIRL ISSUE #1 "REPLICANT" EDITION and JOY TO THE WORLD

My shabby 1991 Dark Horse copy on the left, alongside the new Action Alley “Replicant” edition.

For the last few years, we have been watching the original 1991 run of Dark Horse Tank Girl comics go up and up in price. Good copies are now selling for hundreds (and sometimes even thousands) of dollars/pounds/euros/yen etc.. So we thought we’d make our own edition, and put it out at a much more accessible price.

These are limited edition, so hopefully they will appreciate in value over time, but also they are a fun way to get hold of the first ever single issue collection of the work of Hewlett & Martin. I’ve put a lot of effort into replicating the original issue, using art files from the TG Remastered and The Hole of TG, and the result is pretty stunning, even if I do say so myself!

Original Dark Horse trade cards at the top, new “spoof” cards underneath.

Inside the comic you will also find spoof versions of the original Dark Horse trade cards that came with the 1991 edition. The comic pack is finished off with two period TG postcards and an A5 art print. This is only available from us at THE OFFICIAL TANK GIRL STORE

Meanwhile, some of you may have already seen that the after effects of January’s “Cyber Attack” (sounds thrilling, doesn’t it? It wasn’t!) have now finally gone away and we are able to ship internationally once more. Phew.

See you in a minute.

Big love

Alan

Picked up both copies, still waiting on my original beat up copy back from friend I left it at his house in 1992, was supposed to be meeting up and getting it back then lockdown happened.
