The “cover stars” of our latest poster magazine are my adolescent bestie Phil Bond and myself…

This is the second occurrence of me being totally self indulgent with our independent Tank Girl publications (see last year’s “Door Into Summer” poster magazine, some copies still in the store!) - expect more whimsical items, probably also with the word '“summer” in their titles.
The photo on the cover was taken on Worthing Beach by our friend (and drummer in our band The University Smalls) Colin Easton. We had all recently departed (I hesitate to say the word “graduated”, as my grades were mostly less than favourable) from Durrington High School, and Phil and I were about to turn 16. We had both scored a place on the Preliminary Course at Worthing’s Art College in the town centre. Our lives were about to change forever…

Fuzzy innocence was corrupted by art college debauchery, and what fun it all was. The cover and the interior of That Summer Feeling display the two ends of our innocence/debauchery scale.
Also in the store right now are a very limited number of Actionbox custom cars, these come on a punky Steve Dillon (love that dude) backing card, and are packed with two new 25mm badges.
Finally, in this speedy product shout-out (maybe I missed my calling, should I be selling towel sets and iffy crockery from the back of a lorry at a Saturday street market?), we have our new badge set OBSCURABILIA, featuring three cute wee badges - the Pulp-band-referencing “Sorted For Whizzer And Chips”, the “Circular Field” logo (from the comic of the same name by Phil Bond and myself), and the “Planet Swerve” logo, from the strip by me and Glyn Dillon. Matt finished, silly backing card. Fifty sets of these made, still a few left…
Back soon with more summer stuff.
Alan

Love it! I’d forgotten that Steve Dillon Tank Girl illustration. So good! I’d also forgotten pebble-ridden British beaches. Made me all nostalgic…
