The Attack of The 5 Foot Tank Girls
Replica Deadline/Tank Girl door posters hit the store tomorrow!
Way back in 1989, the wise people at Deadline Magazine started selling “Thin” Posters as a mail-order-only item, advertised in the pages of the mag. There were two available - Brett Ewins’s Johnny Nemo, and our much admired Tank Girl. Over the years, these prints have become a bit of a Grail item for some fans.
I’ve had a lot of fun reconstructing the TG poster from various elements, and here is the result - a replica version of the original. Printed at the exact same size as the 80’s version - 60 x 20 inches (that’s five foot tall, by just over one and a half foot wide).
These are stupidly huge (they arrived at TG H.Q. on a pallet, and I almost killed myself getting them inside), and they are awesomely impressive.
We’ve got 100 of these, and they will go on sale in THE OFFICIAL TANK GIRL SHOP tomorrow at 11am BST/GMT (that’s 11am in the UK). Each will come with a bonus poster print.
That’s all for now. See you tomorrow if you’re interested in this kind of tomfoolery!
