News of potential Tank Girl on-screen-outings continue drip through from the trusty ol’ grapevine. The latest that has gotten through to me is the change from the proposed (in 2019) Motion Picture to an Animated TV series. As we know, Amazon bought MGM a couple of years back, and obtained the Tank Girl screen rights as part of that package. Margot Robbie’s production company Lucky Chap has held onto the option to make a TG movie throughout that transition, and now after five years with no results, they are working with Amazon Animation to develop an animated TV show.
This is all the information I have at the present time.
Meanwhile, back at Action Alley HQ (where the Tank Girl action REALLY is) our annual cupboard-emptying continues - this week we have a fine selection of TG collectables for your delectation in our WOT-NOTS ARCHIVE GOODIES PACK, including the popular Colouring Book Mini from five years ago. 50 sets of these in the store, a super pack at a super price. Get on over to the TANK GIRL STORE and have a butchers.
Keep on keepin’ on, yeah.
Peace, love, and understanding,
Alan XXX
So they just did a Scott Pilgrim animation and got all the original actors to voice the characters. That would be very sweet imo. Then get the original creators on board to write the story and lead animation... perfect world. (I know this is a sore spot for you Alan. *hugs*)
I thin an animated series would be better than a movie. It would be better explain all of the things that have happened to make the T.G. world the way that it is. The movie did a great job , but a series can go more in depth with it. It also gets rid of all the expensive c.g.i. and a lot of production cost .
