Remember gamley's in worthing my nan would take me there in the late 70s when I stayed with here in the summer holidays not sure if you remember Peter pan play area by the swimming pool. Happy times
Yep! I remember Peter Pan's very well. I spent whole days there every summer from the late 60s to the late 70s, I might've even been there when you were there!
I think there was a Beatties in Brighton that i visited a few times. 1:72 scale soldiers were the best - so much potential excitement in such a small box!
Yeah and an old plastic ice cream tubs to store them. They were similar scale to the pilots in the aircraft. Just reminded me of Zoids as they had shiny people to put into robot cockpits as well.
Probably I'm from bognor originally my grandparents lived in lancing used to spend a week every summer from 73 till 81 with them and used to pester them to take me there.

Spent a week in Worthing ~2001 they had a comic shop and record shop and lots and lots of old people. And fantastic pebble beaches :)
Beatties in the 80s in Newcastle for my Airfix fix, 1:72 scale soldiers were always my favourite

We used empty ice cream tubs too! Ours were from Bejams if I remember correctly.
Little ones for small 1:72 soldiers and bigger ones for larger scale. I may still have them in parents attic 😂 No ikea back in those days

It was a magic shop. The models were in the back left hand corner of the shop, up a step and into a room filled with Scalextric, Hornby, and Airfix.
